All I want for Christmas...

I am on a quest for a Kitchen aid Standing Mixer. Let me restate that, a bargain price Kitchen aid. I don't want to pay $299.00, I don't even want to pay $200.00 I want to pay less! So I am now on the E-bay wagon and I keep getting kicked off! I realize that I need to quit getting on the website or I am gonna develop an addiction, I am headed for "My name is Natalie and I am an e-bay addict". I did win an auction one time, many years ago. I thought it would be easy but noooooooo. This is why it is not a good idea to have the Internet, to easy to get addicted to crap. Then again I have posted two blog in the last 24 hours. UGGGH "My name is Natalie and I am a blog addict" I think I need to get a cup of coffee, (another wonderful addiction) and get myself to cleaning my home. Anyway let me get back to my topic, my quest for a kitchen aid. Buying a new one is a big decision, almost like buying a new car. You have to pick the color and that is not an easy decision if you think about it. Do you want a new fad color? Remember when teal was cool, I do! I wore teal for a prom dress!lol Now there are so many colors, like blue and red and orange and sliver, etc... But what about in 5 years when your kitchen doesn't match the pink kitchen aid that you picked, what then? Do you get a fancy decal, like the flame decal? (I highly suggest you not buy a flame decal for a pink kitchen aid). My answer is this, pick the brown kitchen aid. Brown is cool! Brown goes with most kitchens, it matches stuff you find in the kitchen like brown sugar, chocolate pudding, and most kinds of meant when it is cooked. Brown also is the new pink, or at least it used to be, (I am not good at what is what). Brown also will go with the flame decal, which your husband will think is cool and then maybe he will want to cook more. So I guess i have decided that Brown rocks! E-bay bites! I rock! Teal used to rock! And most important pink and flames don't belong together. Also we learn that Natalie get obsessed with most anything! ( Especially with being awesome)

Christmas Obession

Ever watch the challenges on the Food Network? I am fascinated by that show, so much that I am online doing Gingerbread House research so that I can build a kick ass gingerbread house! For those who don't watch the show they have people compete to build stuff out of edible ingredients. Sometimes the contestants are professional, mainly pastry chefs, but many times the contestants are regular people who like to build with food. For example one challenge was the wedding cake challenge, they object was to make a wedding cake that is representative of a wedding dress. Some cake were ok, nice looking but not creative. Others were amazing, how out of the box that people think. Anyway I am fixated on the Gingerbread challenge. The one I watch was so cool! I have a cousin who makes Gingerbread houses every year and I always wanted to do one with my parents but that never happened. April had to do one for school and didn't like it. I am not dissuade, I am convinced that I can. So if the next time you see me and there is a goop of white junk in my head, and maybe a gingerbread house or a few candies stuck on myself just look the other way.

And now for Christmas...........

Hello all!
Hope you enjoyed your thanksgiving! We had a good time in Grants with our family, hopefully you all had a good time as well. I have to say that I was very upset that A Christmas Story wasn't on, but I made it through the day! Yesterday I put up our tree, and Kennedy has only eaten one glass ornament, and has only thrown away one mini house!!!lol It will be interesting to see how she reacts to presents under the tree. Ava decorated her mini tree, and is closer to liking Santa! Also if you listen to 99.5 it's x-mas music 24/7. I love it, Shane not so much.lol Oh well, it only comes once a year!

Have a Merry Christmas Month

Natalie
(Did you know that Natalie mean "Christmas Child", that means I get more presents!!!)

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello All!
I hope you all have a great time this thanksgiving! Don't forget to give thanks that you have such a great friend like Natalie, and have been so fortunate to be in such an awesome book club! Be careful if you are traveling, and if you are going out of state then remember to bring back some kind of tourist crap for the rest of us to look at and enjoy, like state key chains or spoons. Or maybe some pet rocks or something! As for me and my family we are making our trek to Grants, home of the Pirates. (Ninjas are better, ((per Shane)) I am looking forward to spending time with family, and of course to the TBS marathon of A CHRISTMAS STORY! It rocks!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the meeting we discussed some possible future titles of books to read, and we probably will be reading them in the future. However I thought we might like to give suggestion about books we have read. So here is a few books that I recommend and have enjoyed reading.

Book Club Name

Hi all!
Well it looks like I gave the book club a name without getting permission from anyone. Just kidding, I would never do that, although I do like the name "TwelveOaks". We can discuss names and change them whenever you want, just recommend a name for discussion. And if anyone can tell me why I like that name I will give them a special surprise at the next meeting. Ok so I know you all are wondering why a blog! I thought it would be easier to have a dedicated page for the BC than the e-mail situation, since some e-mails were going to everyone and some only to selected people. Here we have a page that everyone can go to, post and do a discussion. Also we can us this page for out of towners that might want to read our books if they can go to the meeting. So if you have a friend who you think should read this book but can't attend our meetings then send them this blog site, and then we can discuss the book.
Now here is the deal, Shane is too busy to do my blog page for me, (also I think the fact that this isn't the first page or website I had him design and then didn't stick too also made him refuse to help me, although he did sweetly give me this link), so now I have to update the page and I am not good at it so give me some slack about it.
Ok, well that is all I have for now. Hope you all are doing good and either have read or are reading our second selection The Kite Runner.

The O'Hara

(again you will get a prize if you know why that is important, but you must be specific)
